I gave two tours today, one of the Spectrum displays in the engineering building and one of the CLS. It was somewhat difficult giving tours of places I’m not very familiar with myself (most of my classes are in the physics building). Also, grade eight girls are very hard to understand. Everything seems to have some kind of subtext, but I suppose at that age the whole world is basically an inside joke. The kids I toured for the synchrotron were really good, though I don’t know how much they got out of it (they mainly seemed really impressed by the building itself).
