Family Pride
My sister got accepted into Pharmacy! (and Nutrition for that matter, although she's definitely doing pharmacy). Naturally, she is ridiculously happy. It never really occurred to me before that she’ll make more money than I will but apparently pharmacists are paid a fair bit more than engineers, on top of being employable absolutely anywhere. There is the downside of shift work, but of course most pharmacies keep very short hours.
My little sister is also now done school and has posted insanely high marks, as usual. I really have no idea what to get her for her birthday. Right now I’m thinking some kind of book, although the nature of said book escapes me.
Pirates is now done (mourn) and it was truly amazing. I’m definitely doing summer players again if I’m in town. Unfortunately, this makes it harder to decide whether not to return to this nice-paying-good-hours-but-boring job next summer, seeing as how any other job I might get is virtually guaranteed to require going to
To complete this rambling digression of text I include the following. I’ve been given permission to take all of the mechanical engineering classes I want to take for next year (yeah!). However, I already know that at least one of them (which is, alas, a prerequisite for another class) conflicts with a class that’s required for my degree (darn you, Quantum Mechanics). Hopefully, everything will work out smoothly.
